SHIRAZ -- An Austrian ensemble performed a few pieces of classical in Shiraz on the occasion of the Seventeenth Fajr Music Festival on Saturday.

The Executive Deputy of the Music Festival in Shiraz, Bahman Soleimani told IRNA that the soloist music ensemble called "Intromental Vienna" under management of professor Helmut Ascrel performed several musical pieces that were welcomed by the audience.

Bahman Soleimani added that this music ensemble has performed in many European and Asian countries pieces by Rudolg Gind Lhomer, Kuaner Edmundsberger and Helmut Ascrel.

He said the performance was organized by the General Department of the Islamic Culture and Guidance of Fars province in collaboration with the governor general's office of Fars province. Also on Sunday evening two other performances from other music ensembles from our own country were conducted.

the seventeenth fajr music festival that started on Feb 6, 2002 shall continue until Feb 20, 2002.
